Engine Trouble? Fear no more!
I was assigned to develop a spatial UI using augmented reality. I conceptualized an application to scan and identify problems with your car’s engine after experiencing car troubles during a rough Syracuse winter. This app would be dedicated to those who label themselves “vehicularly challenged” by directing the users how to navigate their car troubles.
I began by sketching and designing the user flow.
Next, I used Adobe After Effects to animate and track the UI in a 3D space. The application would display different engine indicators, highlight the area of the engine that needs attention, and provide instructions on how to mend the problem without the help of a mechanic.
