As design editor of the only LGBTQIA+ magazine in Syracuse, I assembled a team of designers to create a colorful and inclusive magazine for students. I created motion graphics for social media and focused on the arts and entertainment section capturing the popular culture during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lil Nas X: The LGBTQIA+ Icon Gen-Z Needed
MS UND HONORABLE MENTION! When thinking of Lil Nas X, you think of his striking 2020 Grammys outfit. The square frame fits his name nicely with the illustration smack dab in the center. The Madrone Std typeface has a western-feel to match his aesthetic and the hot pink pops right off the page.
From Tiktok to the Top
Clairo, a singer-songwriter made famous by her buzzy indie sound, harnesses a bedroom pop vibe. A notebook scratchy typeface for the title, Blockhead, paired with a minimal illustration matches their relaxed tone.

This spread was inspired the TikTok user interface. Sleek black boxes paired with bold sans-serif type brings flat design to the page. The boxes use the application's blues and pinks while arranged to bring movement - like you're scrolling through your feed.
